Species Account:

Cycloclypeus carpenteri is considered to be uncommon but is however normally found in relatively deep water (primarily deeper than 150ft). I've seen several dozen specimens and collected a dozen or so during many years of Okinawa diving. I've also added a second page with a series of additional images of the species. There is in addition, an image of one of Brady's original drawings of C. carpenteri which was taken from 1116m off Fiji during the HSM Challenger Survey.
