Species Account:

        Cerberilla sp. 1 is considered by Atsushi Ono to be uncommon in waters off the Keramas*. Atsushi reports (pers. comm.) seeing more than ten individuals in the Keramas. The above animal was found on a sandy bottom and is used here with Atsushi's kind permission. As of the current date I've not personally seen specimens of this attractive aeolid in the waters of Okinawa's main island. Ono (2004, p. 253) has an image of an additional 10mm animal, also collected from the Keramas.
