Species Account:

        Dendronotus sp. 2 is considered to be very rare in Okinawan waters as this is the only individual I've seen. Also, I'm not aware of any others being either photographed or collected. The above featured animal was found crawling in an area of mixed sand and coral rubble on the surface of coral rubble. I've included an additional page with two additional images of the animal. Incidentally this featured animal is depicted in Gosliner et al (2008, p. 323, as Dendronotus sp. 3).
