Opisthobranch of the Week Data
Taxonomy:
Atsushi Ono considers Doto sp. 6 to be very rare in the waters of the Keramas* and reports seeing only the above single animal which was photographed and collected. The above featured animal was found by Atsushi in eight meters of water at the base of green hydroids on a rock wall and is used here with Atsushi's kind permission.
I've not found Doto sp. 6 in the waters of Okinawa's main island as of the current date. I've collected at least seven unknown Doto species from Okinawa's main island and I've featured a series of described and unknown Doto species previously on these pages.
