Opisthobranch of the Week Data
Taxonomy:
Atsushi Ono considers Doto sp. 8 to be uncommon in the waters of the Keramas*. Atsushi reports seeing in excess of ten individuals ranging between 3~5mm, none of which were collected. The above featured animal was found by Atsushi in three meters of water on a rope in a fish preserve and the image of this animal is used here with Atsushi's kind permission.
I've not found Doto sp. 8 in the waters of Okinawa's main island as of the current date. I have however featured a series of described and unknown Doto species previously on these pages. These Doto species are:
