Species Account:

        The above featured attractive little animal is an unknown opisthobranch and for the present time I'll list it as being incerta sedis. It's considered to be very rare in the waters of Okinawa's main island as it's the only specimen I've seen or collected. Terry Gosliner mentioned to me quite a few years earlier that he's previously found the animal in Papua New Guinea and he considers it to be a member of an undescribed genus.

        The animal was collected during a mid-morning SCUBA dive from an area of mixed sand and coral rubble. I've also added a second page with two additional images of the animal.
